Pool Rules and Policies

Bather Rules

  • Any person showing evidence of any communicable skin disease, sore or inflamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharges, or any other communicable disease shall be denied admission.
  • Any person with excessive sunburn, open blisters, cuts, or bandages shall be denied admission.
  • Do not enter the water if you are experiencing or recovering from diarrhea or have any signs or symptoms of gastrointestinal (stomach) disease in the past seven days.
  • All children in diapers must wear diapers specially designed for immersion in water (such as swimming diapers). Do not wash out soiled diapers in the bathing water.
  • Children should be encouraged to use the restroom before entering the water. Immediately report any “accidents” you observe in the bathing waters to a lifeguard.
  • No animals, except for service animals, shall be allowed in the pool, wading pool, dressing rooms, or other parts of the enclosure.
  • Glass containers shall be prohibited in food and drinking areas.
  • All persons shall shower before entering the water.
  • Conduct which endangers the safety and comfort of others shall be prohibited.
  • Outdoor bathing shall be prohibited during an electrical storm.
  • Persons suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol shall be prohibited from entering the water.

Guest Policies

  • Guest Fee: $5
  • Guest fees are non-refundable. 
  • To bring a guest to the Club, members must be at least 13 years of age. No exceptions. Charleston Swim Club, at its discretion, reserves the right to refuse guest entry due to club capacity, staff availability, or peak and off-peak times. Charleston Swim Club does not offer day passes to the general public
  • Guests are the complete responsibility of the member family. Member must be present while guests are at the club, and guests must leave when the accompanying members leave. 
  • All guests must check in at the front desk upon arrival, provide necessary information (such as name and emergency contact), and sign a guest waiver.
  • Guests are limited to 5 visits per season. After the fifth visit, guests will be required to become a member of the club in order to continue enjoying its facilities. Guest fees paid will be credited towards the cost of membership if the guest decides to join.
  • Guests can visit the club and access its facilities at reduced or waived fees on special events such as open houses, movie nights, game nights, and more.
  • Guests must adhere to all club policies, including those related to pool use and the overall environment. Any violation of the club’s rules may result in the guest being asked to leave the premises immediately, either temporarily or permanently, depending on the severity of the infraction.
